took the dogs out for a walk

the sun was already up and shining bright

snapping the flowers up into life

so much life brimming with color

ready to grow and bloom

boldly forth into the sun

springing up from the driest places

glowing with the light of hope

impossible to not stop and take in the view

and smell the roses
